About Us

CHARITY FOR LIFE” our organization was started in November 2019 under the leadership of Chathuranga Fernando with a group of young members. Since then, our team has organized programs for special children’s . But with the recent outbreak of the Corona epidemic in Sri Lanka, our team “Charity for life” has come forward to help different sections of the society. It’s started our unstoppable journey

We organized several food distribution programs for poor families, beggars and street animals affected by the corona epidemic, and the largest project we did during that time was the blood donation program. With the participation of 100 donors, our team successfully completed it.During curfew time, a number of programs were organized by our group members on social media sites religious festivals and special days that could not be celebrated and after curfew period, our team successfully organized number of programs for special children, elder homes and beach clean-ups.

In August 2020, Charity for Life successfully launched a branch in Kandy and it also organized food distribution to homeless people, special children’s programs and awareness programs on corona epidemic protection.

In a short period of one year, Charity for life has grown to over 80 members and has conducted 80 programs with four branches in Colombo , Kandy, Negombo & Galle. We have also launched our social media network accounts Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and YouTube to access information.

OUR EXPERIENCE

As a social service organization, the main activities of the Covid epidemic were to help the needy sections, the poor families, the helpless animals and also a blood transfusion center. And Mainly we provide support for children and the elders in orphanages.
